People Of The Earth: Eco Warrior Princess

Q&A with the Eco Warrior Princess

Eco Warrior Princess is a media brand that you need to have on your radar every single day to stay informed on issues that really matter. Eco Warrior Princess is truly redefining what it means to live green by covering topics and generating awareness on environmental issues, conservation, sustainable fashion, conscious business, social justice, politics, feminism, eco beauty, wellness, green technology — in an analytical, intelligent and honest way.

And behind it all is the incredible writer, activist and certified organic farm owner Jennifer Nini who tells the truth as it is. Eco Warrior Princess is now a community of clever, stylish, discerning people providing the latest in global green intelligence with a view on looking at solutions. Jennifer's goal is to bring awareness and media that matters to people and change the way people perceive sustainability.

I love the education, awareness and courage of Eco Warrior Princess as she stands up for what she believes in and stands up for what she stands on - our earth needs more of this and I love that she really does talk the talk and walk the walk - sustainability for Jennifer is a way of life which is wonderfully inspiring. As well as me wanting you to dive deeper into her website, I hope you enjoy getting to know Jennifer on a more personal level just as I have.

PEOPLE OF THE EARTH - ECO WARRIOR PRINCESS

What is your favourite room in your home sanctuary and why?

My bedroom. It’s well-lit, the room looks out onto trees and I leave the bedroom windows open when I have afternoon naps and the birds chirping outside as I fall asleep on the bed is my favourite way to recharge.

What is something you do each day just for you?

Read a book. If not a chapter, at least a few pages. Usually non-fiction.

We all have days where things feel way out of our control. How do you centre yourself after one of these days? Is it something you do or is it a place you go to?

I step outside into the tree-filled environment (I live on a farm) and take deep breaths while concentrating on nature’s sounds: birds singing, trees rustling, bees buzzing.

What are 3 things you are passionate about?

Sustainability

Politics

Personal development

If you could have dinner with 3 people in the history of time who would they be?

Jesus

Audrey Hepburn

Oprah Winfrey

What makes you happy about the present and future of the planet?

That more people are fighting to preserve our planet and improve living standards for everyone. That there are incredible people using their ingenuity, creativity, resources and capital to come up with ways to help evolve our societies and economies.

What is your favourite colour you have in your home sanctuary?

The blue hues in a painting created by my future mother-in-law and the Indian handcrafted cupboard painted a gorgeous blue and white pattern.

What plants can I find in your garden or home?

I live on a farm; much of the property is filled with trees and forest and there are a variety of native species as well as edible plants, fruit trees and tropical varieties. In my kitchen garden alone I have over 30 varieties growing including sunflowers, basil, nasturtium, chives, parsley, strawberries, coriander, rosemary, oregano, aloe vera and more.

Name one moment in your life timeline that you have done that has had a positive profound impact on you?

Living in a tent for four months when my partner and I left Melbourne. We lived in the tent on his parent’s vacant property in regional Queensland. I learned that I could live quite happily with very little and is when I had my epiphanies about slow living and embracing simplicity. Eco Warrior Princess is born from that journey :)
