This week’s balance tip is to turn your legs upside down against a wall. This is a yoga pose called Viparita Kirani and is something men, women and children can do.

Personally it is one of the most relaxing and detoxifying poses that has so many health benefits. When we sit all day, the lymph fluid becomes stagnant and toxins collect in the body. To balance hormones naturally, we need to eliminate these from the body and keep the lymph flowing. In this pose, the lymphatic circulation in the lower body is maximised by reversing the flow of gravity in the legs, lymphatic fluid is circulated and it encourages the elimination of toxins.
It also helps to calm the mind and ease anxiety and stress, relieves tired feet and legs, and gently stretches the hamstrings, legs and lower back. This is a pose that can be done by anyone at anytime even anywhere.
