The New Year heralds a time to reflect and renew our thoughts and choices and the impact we can have. The new year gives promise and an opportunity to make conscious living choices for a more sustainable year. As we see the widespread and prevalent issues and impact of climate change, deforestation, inhumane working conditions, we at Bhumi are renewing our commitment to help create a new way forward where the Earth and Her people are preserved.
For 2019 the Bhumi team at large are devoted to 4 main goals:
1. Choose ONLY the finest GOTS certified organic cotton to make more products that our customers want
2. Work ONLY with Fairtrade factories and manufacturers
3. Provide plastic free packaging and reducing our overall carbon footprint
4. Explore new exciting ways to launch initiatives, products and partnerships that expand the possibilities and positive impact on the planet
As Founder, I personally promise a renewed commitment this year to always provide high quality sustainable organic products, fair living wages, see children especially girls in schools not in forced child labour, work with incredible farmers on their toxic free land on fair terms, work with only fair trade factories, and love the earth with organic cotton fed by nature and her monsoon rains.
Through Bhumi products I wish to offer a vision of a sanctuary of peace, calm and luxury knowing that the products have not harmed the earth or her people. I believe in having the courage to question the status quo and change things that have been done for so long to a way of living that protects, nurtures, heals and provides life not destroy it.
I want everyone to be informed and feel good about their choices and tap into the deep well of self-love that in turn will radiate love. I want all people to feel empowered with inner strength, resolve and knowledge of what goes on in the world. I want people to know the truth behind all that they buy, wear, use and consume with the goal of having a life built on true wellness for each other, our earth and ourselves.
